Curriculum

My district has made the shift to common core state standards. I'm loving the shift, but having to work pretty hard to update my integrated, thematic units so they are in alignment with CCSS. 

One of the books my PLC cohorts and I are studying during this transition is Understanding By Design by Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe (2005).  It sure is helpful having a group to work through this book, as it can be a lot to process. All in all, though, we are really getting a lot out of it!
